Nicknamed as C’Lotta during my Delta days, it seemed a fitting choice. It was at the radio station I “gave birth” to the ‘Lotta Sports name for my identity. In my “spare” time, one of my Boxers and I volunteered doing Canine Literacy at an elementary school, Canine Education at preschools and visiting nursing homes and health rehabilitation facilities. I organized the first Bark For Life in Texas, a canine fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and chaired the event for the several years. I held as many “jobs” as the number of years we lived there - worked at a camp, receptionist in a travel center, meet and greet at a fitness center, assisted two VPs at an airplane manufacturer (and where my husband worked on the assembly line which built a turbo-prop for NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth), database management for a home plans designer, updated “back door” websites for several organizations and On-Air “Side-Kick”/Sportscaster for a radio station. I retired and relocated to the Texas Hill Country after a career with Delta Air Lines spanning over 30 years. I did finally put my feet on the ground my last 8 years with Delta. When my Supervisor tried to woo me into Management, I delayed the move for one year as I would have to give up charter flying. In addition, I worked ones for the Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees and LA Dodgers. Later in my career, I was a regular on the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox charters. I also worked several flights for the Houston Aeros hockey team. While based in Houston, I became a hockey fan while laying over in Portland, Maine which was home to one of the Philadelphia Flyers farm teams. It was then I discovered there was more to car racing than my little brother going go-carting. In my first year of flying, I worked an AJ Foyt charter to the Indy 500 and got to go to the race. It didn’t take me long to mesh my love of sports with my job. Back in 1974, I was hired on as a Flight Attendant for Delta Air Lines.
